Mental Health

What is this all about?

Mental health is an important component of a working society; according to the Mental Morbidity Survey in 2013, approximately 11% of youth aged between 16-24 in Hong Kong are diagnosed with common mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Despite this, only 15% of these individuals seek professional help. There is a steady increase of diagnosed individuals, and the open discussion of mental health issues becomes ever more important.

As of now, data from large scale population studies on mental health is extremely lacking, which directly affects the lives of people suffering from such. This study aims to identify, prevent and ultimately improve the current state of mental health services and policies.
