School and Work

Stress from the essentials of life

If we tally up the time we spend at school and at work, we will be amazed that on average, it totals at a third of our lifetime. Given that schooling or work eats up 8 hours of our day, it leaves little time to decompress, leading to potentially unmanageable levels of stress.

Steep educational expectations combined with the currently unstable economic climate, it is not surprising that the youth in Hong Kong face a plethora of life challenges. Chronic stress is proven to be a contributing factor to many common mental health issues. By asking and analyzing the mental condition, social relationships, and daily life of people in different youth groups, we get a bigger picture of what is causing their stress, and from that a realistic and optimistic solution.
